During a service to mark 2016 Catholic Mothering Sunday at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, Federal Housing, Trans-Ekulu, Enugu on Sunday, Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi called on Nigerians to indulge on prayers so as to reduce the high rate of crime. According to the Governor, raping, kidnapping and all sorts of criminality can be solved if we take it to God in prayers.
“Prayers had become necessary in view of the increasing incidences of crimes and other anti-social activities in different parts of the country. I believe that prayers will do so much in checking the menace of herdsmen/farmers clashes, cases of rape, armed robbery, kidnapping, pipeline vandalism, among others,” the Governor said.
