The wife of Nigeria’s President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, says the Children and Women Health Initiative is aimed at promoting preventive medicine practices.
She said it would help checkmate the alarming rate of mortality resulting from late presentation of diseases affecting women in Nigeria.
The wife of the President made the statement at the Olubadan Palace in Ibadan, as part of her two-day visit to Oyo State.

Mrs Buhari told reporters that the programme would offer 2,500 women free screening for cervical and breast cancers while blood screening would also be done to detect blood glucose for women at designated centres, including markets. Continue...
