With the 2016/17 season almost upon us, Manchester United revealed all the shirt numbers for the upcoming campaign on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
Adnan Januzaj was given the number 11 shirt worn by Ryan Giggs following the winger’s retirement but has had it taken off him after struggling over the last two seasons.
Frenchman Anthony Martial has taken the number 11 shirt which has freed up the number 9 shirt for legendary Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Fellow new signings Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan take the #3 and #22 shirts respectively.

I just hope the weight of the #22 shirt and walking in the footsteps of John O'Shea does not effect Henrikh Mkhitaryan!

Paul Pogba’s potential number

He’s worn the number 10 shirt at Juventus but Paul Pogba could be set to join Manchester United this summer, if reports are to be believed.
The 23-year-old Frenchman wore the number 42 shirt during his teenage years at Old Trafford and that shirt number is free as Tyler Blackett wasn’t given a number.
A more likely option for Paul Pogba could well be the number 6 shirt which was most recently worn by Northern Irish defender Jonny Evans.
Check out the official shirt numbers below. It’s worth noting that James Wilson and Guillermo Varela weren’t given squad numbers.
