Germany booked their spot in the Euro 2016 semi-finals after edging a crazy penalty shootout 6-5 on penalties following a 1-1 draw with Italy in Bordeaux.
Jonas Hector converted the all-important spot-kick after seven players failed to find the back of the net in a remarkable shootout on Saturday.
Germany took the lead thanks to Mesut Ozil but Italy clawed themselves level when Leonardo Bonucci scored a penalty after Jerome Boateng handled inside the box.
Die Mannschaft will now play the winner of hosts France and Iceland, who lock horns on Sunday, in the last four.
