Even with the likes of Francesco Totti and Diego Maradona on the pitch, it was Ronaldinho that once again stole the show in the Pope’s Peace Match in Rome on Wednesday evening.
Still without a club and at the age of 36, with retirement imminent, Ronaldinho is very much travelling the world to simply play in these types of matches.
And, whilst it is sad how Ronaldinho’s career has panned out, it is certainly a pleasure to see him light up games where his peers can barely run.
After the Peace Match, Ronaldinho picked three clips he enjoyed the most from the Pope’s Peace Match.
These were: Playing keepy uppy with Francesco Totti and Diego Maradona, his now famous back pass, and an assist for former Spurs and Sevilla striker Fredi Kanoute.
