Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State yesterday said his government has banned street trading in the state and would deal with anyone who goes against the ban. He said henceforth, seized items from anyone trading along the streets will be used to take care of prisons inmates and some donated to motherless babies homes.
“So, those involved in street trading should go to relief market or Egbada market to have shops to avoid regretting because when government begins to enforce the directive, goods or wares seized from those selling on the streets will be donated to the prisons and motherless babies homes,” he said.
