Conte Reveals Why Diego Costa Drinks Beer After Matches

Antonio Conte explains why Diego Costa drinks beer after Chelsea win
Antonio Conte has claimed Diego Costa is permitted to drink beer in a bid to aid re-hydration.
The 27-year-old striker was pictured drinking a beer following their hard earned win over West Brom last weekend which got people talking as it is widely perceived that footballers are not allowed to take such drinks after games but the Conte has suggested otherwise.

He said: ‘[It is good] for rehydration, you can drink Coca-Cola or one beer,
‘It’s good for recovery. But one. Not a lot. It’s good. After you finish the game, quickly, not an hour after the end.
‘I have great professionals in my players. In this case, I don’t think a coach or a manager can say: ‘Do this’ or ‘Don’t do this’. I have great professionals and I know they will have the better attitude and behaviours in this situation.’
Costa’s consumption of alcohol may be overlooked due to his current form in the Premier League this season, scoring 12 goals so far to claim top of the goal scorers chart.
