A second-half Konstantinos Mitroglou strike was enough for Benfica to beat Borussia Dortmund 1-0 in the first-leg of their round-of-16 Champions League tie.
The 28-year-old struck his 13th goal in as many games against Thomas Tuchel’s men, with BVB forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang having an evening to forget at Estadio Da Luiz.
The Gabon international spurned numerous chances before seeing his penalty saved and subsequently being substituted after an hour of play.
