Eric Aniva, the Malawian known as the “hyena man” who gets paid to have sex with underage girls and widows, has been arrested. Aniva, who is from the Nsanje district of southern Malawi, is paid from $4 to $7 (£3 to £5) for each sexual intercourse.
While the elders of the village believe the act is “sexual cleansing”, HIV positive Aniva has now been arrested on the orders of Peter Mutharika, Malawi’s president.
